How you'll learn

Less slides. More model.

Each topic is a short loop: the concept, a worked example in Cameo, a walkthrough of the lab and its purpose, then your own hands on the model. By the time you build, you know why, so you can focus on the tool.

act [Activity] Every Module
  1. Lecture

Where this step fits in the method, and the SysML elements and notation behind it.

  2. Demo

A live Cameo demo of a different application of the concept, or a deep dive into one part of it.

  3. Lab overview

We walk through the lab's steps and their purpose. Ask your why questions here, so in the lab you can focus on where to click.

  4. Your lab

You build it in your Robot Mower model on the cloud VM, with written and video instructions and the instructor walking the room.

  5. Checkpoint

Compare your work with the finished lab model, or load it to catch up and start the next lab with the class.

Academic: lecture, demo, lab overviewHands-on: your lab, checkpoint

Can't fall behind. Every lab has a checkpoint model: the finished version of one lab is the starting point of the next, so you can load it and rejoin the class at any time. Labs are tiered so fast finishers go deeper while everyone completes the core.

At scale

Practical knowledge from real projects at scale, not just the classroom

From past students

My team really appreciated it and are hard at work applying their new skills.
Kylie Sansone, Engineering Manager · team training
The real-world insights and explanations you shared helped me gain a much deeper understanding of both MBSE and the Systems Engineering discipline as a whole.
Cierra Christian · SysML Fundamentals
I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot! I’m also really glad that you all went through the purpose of each lab, that was really helpful.

All 2027 dates are tentative. Class days start at 9 AM and end by 4 PM in the host city's time zone (Dallas: Central, Knoxville: Eastern). Remote students attend the same live session.

How in-person seats work: request a seat and pay nothing yet. Each in-person class runs once 4 people sign up to attend in person, and we confirm at least 30 days before class. Then we send your invoice and you book travel. If the room doesn't fill, you can join the same class remotely at the remote price, or put your in-person tuition toward 1-on-1 training hours instead.

Plans change: move to another class for free up to 30 days before your class starts.

Questions

Before you register

Should I take SysML v1 or v2?

If your program models in Cameo or CATIA Magic today, it almost certainly uses SysML v1, so take v1. Choose v2 if your organization is adopting or evaluating SysML v2. The v2 course covers what changes from v1, so v1 modelers fit in well.

Can we pay with a purchase order, SF-182 or invoice?

Yes. We accept purchase orders, SF-182 training forms, ACH, check and card (card adds 3%). Payment is due in full before the first class day. CameoMagic is registered in SAM (CAGE 10EH9).

Is remote the same class as in person?

Yes. Same instructor, same labs, same hours, same certificate. In person adds help at your seat during labs and time with engineers from other companies.

When does an in-person class run?

Each in-person class runs once 4 people sign up to attend in person. Request a seat with no payment; we confirm at least 30 days before class, then invoice you. If the room doesn't fill, you can join the same class remotely at the remote price, or put your in-person tuition toward 1-on-1 training hours instead.

What's the difference between Standard and Condensed?

Both formats teach the same SysML Fundamentals content and labs in 18 hours of live instruction. Standard runs 3½ days: 5 hours a day for the first three days, then a 3-hour final morning. Condensed runs 3 days of 6 hours each, for teams that can't spare the extra half day. Each class in the schedule lists its format.

Will my company laptop work?

Some locked-down government and company laptops block cloud connections. We send login details and a test window before class so you find out early. A personal laptop works as a backup.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

30 or more days before class: move to any other class for free, take your full tuition as a credit toward another class or CameoMagic consulting hours, or cancel for a full refund minus a $500 deposit per student. Less than 30 days before class: tuition is non-refundable. Registrations can be transferred to another attendee with written notice before class starts. If CameoMagic cancels a class for any reason, all payments are fully refunded.

Does this prepare me for the OMG SysML certification?

Fundamentals teaches the language the exam tests. For exam practice, add one of our Exam Prep Bundles.
