What is the difference between the Integrated Model Manager tools?

What is an Integrated Model Manager?

An Integrated Model Manager will act as a broker between data repositories within the Digital Engineering Environment.  The Integrated Model Manager will act as the hub while the other Digital Engineering tools will act as the spokes.  The Integrated Model Manager will be connected/linked to each of the software tools.  This connection will require data transformations and mappings.  The Integrated Model Manager will be responsible for pushing and pulling from software to software and version control of the entire digital environment.

How are these tools similar?

All four of these tools are cloud-based software solutions that are used to help companies manage the data and processes associated with product lifecycle management (PLM). They are all designed to facilitate collaboration between departments, streamline product development, and improve the overall efficiency of the product lifecycle. Each of these tools offers a unique set of features, but all four have the same basic purpose of helping companies manage their PLM processes.  Additionally, each use the hub-and-spoke archetecture.

How are these tools different?

3DS is expensive and best for complex/large design efforts.  SBE Vision is intended for long term duration and has extensive setup and ontology knowledge.  Syndeia is good for smaller/medium sized projects and has a focus on the SysML perspective. eQube focuses on data as a service.  It allows you flexibility to customize your dashboard extensivly.
